Bronze sculpture of a Pointer standing alert and ready to spring into action, by master animal sculptor Michael Simpson, from the Richard Cooper and Co Bronze Sculpture Collection. A devoted, high energy and hard working gundog, the Pointer breed dates back to the 17th century. In the days before rifles, British pointing dogs hunted hares in tandem with coursing hounds. The Pointer is regarded by many as the best at finding and retrieving game birds and they have become an integral part of British country life. This beautifully crafted solid bronze, limited edition sculpture would be the perfect gift for any lover of these hard working and much admired dogs.
Supplied in a gift box with a soft cleaning cloth and a Certificate of Authenticity that includes the edition number and a short biography of the artist. The edition number is also engraved on the base of the sculpture.
