An endearing orangutan sculpture by Matt Buckley. Known as the 'gardeners of the forest' Orangutans are the world's largest tree climbing animals - their ape-like shape and shaggy reddish fur makes them instantly recognisable. Orangutans live in the forests of Indonesia and Malaysia, however they are under threat due to the deforestation of these areas - the WWF is trying to counter this with a number of conservation programmes. Sculptor Matt Buckley has chosen the classic seated orangutan pose with a wonderful soulful expression.
This beautiful orangutan would be ideal accompanied by our two baby orangutans - BABY ORANGUTAN ED28 and BABY OH! EDJC01. Displayed together they would make a spectacular talking point for any room.
