Exquisite, solid bronze sculpture by Keith Sherwin of a hummingbird taking a drink from a honeysuckle - from the Richard Cooper and Co Bronze Sculpture Collection. Native to the Americas and one of the world's smallest birds, the hummingbird is famous for its ability to hover whilst flapping its wings at extraordinary speeds - for some species up to 80 times a second. They can also move very quickly - some species can dive at up to 50 mph.
Keith Sherwin's stunning sculpture comes with a traditionally styled, wooden display box. Colour highlights have been added by hand to further enhance the overall effect. This beautifully crafted bronze, limited edition sculpture would make a memorable gift for a bird lover. One of several bronze bird sculptures in the same style by Keith Sherwin - highly collectable.
Supplied in a gift box with a soft cleaning cloth and a Certificate of Authenticity that includes the edition number and a short biography of the artist. The edition number is also engraved on the base of the sculpture.
NOTE: the bottom image on the left is included just to show how the presentation box looks - the sculpture itself is different.
