Golden Eagle crafted in bronze by renowned wildlife sculptor Harriet Dunn - from the Frith Sculpture Collection. This huge iconic bird of prey is found mainly in North America but there are a few to be seen in remote areas of north west Scotland. Golden Eagles mainly hunt rabbits and hares but will also catch foxes, young deer and large birds like grouse. They can be seen soaring high in the sky over their large home territories. On rocky cliff faces and in trees they build their giant nests or ‘eyries’. These nests are often used by successive generations to rear their own young. Golden Eagles pair for life. Golden Eagles are highly revered and considered sacred within American Indian traditions, culture and religion where they represent honesty, truth, majesty, strength, courage, wisdom, power and freedom. A substantial, eye catching sculpture, beautifully detailed in hand finished, cold cast bronze - a talking point for any room. Supplied securely boxed and packaged.
